Like a traditional deadweight tester, the CPD8500 uses a piston cylinder system to measure pressure, but without the hassle of loading weights for every pressure point. Instead, the pressure across the piston plus the mass of the piston generates a force that is measured continuously by a high accuracy internal load cell.
